What are pros and cons of team work and what kind of team does Grace have?
 

There are many different types of team work which all have different pros and cons. One type of team is just a combination of realtors working under one team name so that all their sales are consolidated into one large number which will make the team look very good but in actuality, the sales of each individual realtor is not really that much. Usually these type of teams consist of less experienced realtors who’d individual sales aren’t that much but when they combine all their sales under one team name they are able to achieve a better reputation.

Another type of team is one where everyone shares one client and shares the responsibility. One agent with better people skills can go ahead and find potential clients and sign contracts. Then that agent passes the responsibility to another agent who excels in marketing and office work to do the next part. Then responsibility is passed on yet again to another agent who is more suitable for another step. Although having everyone do what they do best might sound like a good idea but it also has many setbacks. First off there will probably be communication problems. If you discuss your situation with one realtor, he or she might not pass on the information as accurately as you explained it. Once they finish their part they might not even pass on the information at all. With each agent having incomplete knowledge on your transaction process, many possible problems could arise. First off the agents could be confused as to exactly which responsibilities each one has. If there is a job to do one agent might think it’s the duty of another agent and then the other agent thinks it’s the duty of another, etc. If this problem occurs, there will be many steps that are left incomplete. Second, if you have any problems you must speak with the agent who handled that specific part and that might not always be the agent you are working with at the time. For example, if you have questions about the contract but you are currently working with the agent in charge of advertisements. You will need to contact the other agent who at this point might be busy with something else. Having different agents handle different parts of your transaction will only increase confusion and possibly spark problems.

A third type of team is one where one principal realtor is the team leader and handles the entire transaction but has a support team on hand to help with the work. This team will have the efficiency of having an entire team working together but the leader will still be in charge and have knowledge of each step of the process. This type of team has the least chance of problems of occurring and is also the type of team I have. When you are working with me you will notice that each step is completely in an efficient and timely matter.
